NEW ORLEANS -- A movie production company is filming scenes Thursday afternoon in the Central Business District, and you may be hearing some simulated gunfire.

The filming began Thursday morning near Gravier Street and Picayune Alley, and near Gravier and Camp Street.

Officials say there will also be special effects explosions.

Filming is scheduled to last until 9 p.m.  The shoot will continue on Friday.

The city didn't say what movie is being filmed.
