FARMERVILLE, La. -- Farmerville police say the body of a 15-year-old football player has been sent to Little Rock for autopsy, and a report is expected within five days.

A news release says Kebrion Morgan died Sunday, after a light football practice.

Union Parish Schools Superintendent Steve Dozier told The News-Star on Sunday that Morgan was about to start conditioning after watching film, when he told a trainer he felt ill.

Police say that when officers arrived to help an ambulance crew, Morgan said he was dizzy and nauseated. The statement says Morgan went into cardiac arrest on arrival at Union General Hospital.

The release quotes Chief E. "Bim" Coulberston as saying clergy and counselors came to help the team and other students who went to the school to support Morgan and his family.
