NEW ORLEANS – State agents seized computers and other related equipment from the New Orleans ACORN offices Friday morning, according to Assistant Attorney General David Caldwell.

The seizures occurred starting at 8 a.m. at the offices on Canal Street after reports from ACORN attorneys that some material that might have been important to an investigation had disappeared.

Caldwell said the action occurred as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of theft and embezzlement.

A woman at the scene, who would only call herself an ACORN attorney, said she had ‘no comment’ as she ordered the gates of the building locked.

great i guess we are state 13 that has acorn under investigation, i wonder if any will plead guilty like they did in ca, nev. and the others, i see bertha lewis saying its a conspiracy and she will get to the bottome of it and will investigate this herself. i love it, and the voter fraud in va and nj by acorn, aclu and seiu was funny, most of the healthcare workers belong to seiu and were in hospitals signing patient up to vote in nj, in nj you dont have to show id to vote, i just hope congress dont decide to fund acorn in december, its open for disscussion in dc about refunding acorn,

seems to me we may have waited to long to get there records, this gave them plenty of time to hide anything they needed to.im sure it will all be cleared up and we will be wasting money on them again soon after all they have been doing this for such a long time.its the same old song ,if you give free money to people with one hand they will hold out the other hand for more.just look at katrina we gave free money to a lot of people who didnt need it and then complained that no one helped them after the storm im sure acorn was involved deeply in this also.its all such a scam at tax payer expense and seems like we have no control of any of it

I'm somewhat shocked that there even any computers left in ACORN's building. That they already been stolen to sell for a rock. Or maybe they were already stolen property bought from Crackhead Bob. For those who didn't know, that was Crack Nobama's homeboys.
