METAIRIE, La. - A fire damaged a Metairie home in the 5200 block of Kawanee mid-morning Monday.
Crews responded to the home, which had flames visibly coming through the rooftop.
Fire officials said two sisters, ages 17 and 6 years of age, were at home when the fire broke out. Both were able to get out safely.
There is no official word on what started the fire.
