NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans responded to a fire at a vacant former fast food restaurant on Claiborne Avenue.

The fire started in the old KFC on Claiborne at Washington avenues.

Firefighters say they responded quickly to the one-alarm fire. The inside of the building was damaged, but firefighters say it looks like the building could be saved.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
