From Carl Arredondo Chief Meteorologist

Temperatures are hovering near or below freezing this Tuesday afternoon. Wintry precipitation is increasing on both sides of lake.  Sleet and a few snowflakes are falling north of lake, and light rain and sleet are falling south of the lake.  It will be windy and cold through the evening as temps stay in the upper 20s or low 30s.  Icy conditions are expected to increase this evening on both sides of lake, and driving is not advised.

Wind rushing underneath area bridges can cause them to ice over quickly, and motorists are urged to exercise caution. Motorists who witness hazardous situations are asked to call State Police at *LSP (*577).
