PONCHATOULA, La. – The live-in girlfriend of the man arrested for a shooting on the Tammany Trace was taken into custody for concealing the weapon allegedly used in the crime, according to the Mandeville Police Department.

Lacy Bryant, 22, was arrested on Tuesday evening, police said.

On Sunday night, Leonard Breaux Jr. was found unconscious near Colbert Street. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and taken to the hospital, where he remained in critical condition.

Accused shooter Jesse Stowe, 21, was arrested on Tuesday and booked on armed robbery and attempted first degree murder.

Detectives learned that Bryant “took custody of the weapon and concealed it with the express intent of aiding Stowe and hindering the investigation,” MPD said.

She was booked with obstruction of justice and accessory after the fact. She was in custody of the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
