HOUMA, La. - A man accused of attacking an uncooperative gasoline pump Sunday was jailed on charges of criminal property damage, sheriff's reports show.

Sean Charles Oshea, 27, 1409 Cottage Drive, Houma, told officers he pulled up to the gas station at Sam's Club on Martin Luther King Boluevard and became irate because it would not accept his debit card, according to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.

He said he grabbed the nozzle and started beating on the pump, damaging it. The report says damages were estimated at several thousand dollars.

Oshea was jailed on chargs of simple criminal damage to property more than $500.
