Houma, LA- A 33-year-old man died Saturday afternoon, after failing to negotiate a turn on Louisiana Highway 660 in Houma.
Just after 4 p.m., Louisiana State Police say Houma resident Robb Martinez was traveling southbound on LA 660, just north of LA 3087. Martinez was going into a turn when his motorcycle went off the roadway. Martinez was ejected from his motorcycle and struck a utility pole.
State Police say Martinez was wearing a helmet. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. State Police say speed and a lack of riding knowledge may have been factors in the crash. They do not suspect alcohol impairment, but toxicology tests are pending.
