NEW ORLEANS – According to La. DOTD, 21 cars were sidelined on Interstate-10 East before the Orleans Avenue exit after metal debris on the road blew out the tires on the vehicles.
Traffic was reduced to one lane and backed up for miles from the exit, but all lanes were reopened around 4 p.m.
It is believed debris fell off an 18-wheeler.
There were no reports of any injuries, and the case is under investigation.
