NEW ORLEANS -- If you were caught by a red light camera in Jefferson Parish and paid your ticket, you may be getting back your money.

The Jefferson Parish Council voted to refund the money, citing a number of issues with the parish's red light camera vendor, Redflex.

The council instructed the parish to refund about $20 million held in escrow since the cameras ended in 2010.

However, the matter is expected to end up in court before any violator gets a refund check.
