JPSO investigates murder in Marrero Saturday night

MARRERO, La. - Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating a murder in Marrero Saturday night.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Donte Hall of Marrero.

Sheriff Newell Normand reports just after 7 p.m., JPSO headquarters received calls of gunshots fired in the 2600 block of Pelican Bay Blvd.

Deputies arrived on the scene shortly after and discovered Hall lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.  He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to come up with a suspect.

Witnesses reported seeing two vehicles leaving the neighborhood after the shooting.
