Aerial spraying in response to elevated nuisance mosquito counts is scheduled to take place on the evening of Monday, July 2, 2012, over parts of Jefferson Parish.
Low-level aerial spraying will take place on the East and West Bank of Jefferson Parish from 8:00 p.m. – 10:15 p.m. The boundaries to be sprayed are as follows:
The entire developed portions of Crown Point, extending into the wooded area, bounded by Barataria Boulevard on the north, Jean Lafitte Boulevard on the south; Sharpe Road on the east, and Leo Kerner Parkway on the west.
Metairie, in the area bounded by I-10 on the north, West Metairie Avenue on the south, Transcontinental Avenue on the east and Mississippi Avenue on the West.
If weather conditions on the evening of July 2, 2012 force the cancellation of the scheduled flight, aerial spraying will take place on the first subsequent evening on which weather conditions permit.
