Barkus XXII has officially named its king and queen and they join the Eyewitness Morning News with their temporary guardians who will give more information on this weekend’s parade.

King Dirk and Queen Barbie, who are both between castles, are looking for new caregivers, and they bring with them temporary guardian Michelle Ingram, and Matt Rinard, spokesman for the Krewe of Barkus.

The theme of Barkus XXII "Dogzilla: Barkus Licks the Crescent City," and it hits the streets of the French Quarter Sunday at 2 p.m. with a Pre-Parade Pawty at 10:30 a.m. at Armstrong Park. When the parade is over, there's also a post-parade party in Armstrong Park.
