NEW ORLEANS -- On Jan. 6 the Queen of Creole Cuisine, Leah Chase, will celebrate a major milestone -- her 90th birthday.
And this year, she is hoping to use her birthday for a good cause.
Her family will establish a foundation in her honor. On Jan. 4, her restaurant Dooky Chase will host three lunch seatings featuring a special menu, and then on Jan. 5, a gala dinner at the Hyatt Regency.
All proceeds will go to the foundation.
