SLIDELL, La. -- Police say a man was shot and killed at a Slidell gas station Saturday, apparently following a domestic dispute, and the alleged gunman was arrested soon after it happened.
It happened at a Racetrac gas station in the 1700 block of Gause Blvd., just after 1:30 p.m., police said.
The victim, Christopher Miller, 31, of Slidell, was found slumped over in the driver's seat of his vehicle. He had been shot several times in the head, police said.
A 4-year-old child who was also inside the vehicle was not hurt.
Witnesses helped police identify the suspect as Aaron Bise, 33, of Slidell. Police were able to catch up with Bise a short distance from the scene. He was booked with second degree murder.
Police say a weapon was recovered but they are not releasing further details.
They say an ongoing dispute over a female was the suspected motive for the shooting.
