BELLE ROSE, La. -- Robbers stabbed a resident and tied him up during a home invasion Sunday in Assumption Parish, according to the sheriff's office.
The home invasion happened around 9 p.m. on Freetown Lane in Belle Rose.
The 22-year-old victim arrived home to find two men hiding inside. Deputies say the suspects tied the victim up after a brief struggle and stabbed him in his arm.
The suspects made away with $400 in cash, the victim's cell phone, and some of his clothes.
The victim was able to free himself and call the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office. He was transported to a nearby hospital but has since been released.
Deputies are working to determine a suspect and a motive.
