NEW ORLEANS - An investigation into the killings of a Reserve couple whose bodies were found floating in the Intracoastal canal could involve as many as eight suspects, the NOPD said Thursday.

One man has already been arrested in the case involving the killings of LaKeitha and Kenneth Joseph.

Frank Mike was arrested for interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle, according to the FBI. The NOPD said there could be eight suspects in all.

The Josephs were the subject of a large search after they were reported missing from their home and the van they had borrowed was also missing.

The van was found a few weeks later in an Atlanta apartment complex.

The bodies were found a few days apart, floating in the water. The bodies appeared to have been weighted down with weights.
