EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Receiver Marques Colston and safety Malcolm Jenkins are both inactive for the Saints’ game today against the New York Jets.
It’s the first game Colston (knee) has missed this season. Jenkins, meanwhile, began the week not practicing and never progressed after injuring his knee against Buffalo this past week.
Right guard Jahri Evans is active after missing two days this week with a hip injury. He was limited Friday and was questionable for today’s game.
Safety Kenny Vaccaro (concussion/back) was limited Thursday and Friday after missing Wednesday’s practice and, in spite of being questionable per the game status report, is active.
Colston and Jenkins are joined by safety Roman Harper (knee), who hasn’t played since the Week 2 game at Tampa Bay, running back Khiry Robinson and tackle Terron Armstead.
Defensive end Tyrunn Walker (knee) was deemed out Saturday.
The move to make Robinson inactive as a healthy scratch was based on the availability of Mark Ingram. Ingram had missed the past five games with a toe injury. He practiced all week and wasn’t named on the injury report at all.
