Colonial Country Club is still in bankruptcy but a move toward its future is expected this summer.
Harahan Mayor Vinny Mosca says the determination on who will end up with the club will be made in July.
The 88 acre golf course and country club filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection owing more than seven million dollars to its creditors.
Mosca says no one has presented any sort of plans or paper work to the city but he thinks businessman John Georges will end up with the club.
"I think he's a person who's dedicated to try to make things happen, and also he wants a legacy for himself and his family. So I'm optimistic that he'll do something that everyone will be proud of," Mosca said.
Mosca expects the decision to be made around July 20.
