NEW ORLEANS - The City of New Orleans is advising residents about a series of military training exercises to New Orleans residents.
"Local and federal law enforcement agencies are providing support for a pre-planned joint military training exercise in and around the greater New Orleans area. The training exercise includes the use of military helicopters throughout the week," said a statement from the city.
"The training sites and times were carefully selected to minimize negative impact for the citizens of New Orleans and their daily routines."
Homeland Security will be holding the exercises throughout April, according to a release from the city.
"As such, this training is not open to the public and the specific training locations will not be disclosed.
