ATLANTA — Right tackle Zach Strief is active for the first time since injuring his groin in the Nov. 4 game against Philadelphia.

Will Robinson, who subbed in for the injured Bryce Harris a week ago, will go in as the backup tackle.

Meanwhile, cornerback Corey White is active, giving the Saints their full arsenal of cornerbacks against a pass-happy Falcons (10-1) team.

Linebacker Scott Shanle and tight end David Thomas were the two unknown players named as inactive for the Saints ahead of tonight’s Falcons game.

The Saints’ previously had named defensive end Junior Galette (ankle), defensive tackle Tom Johnson (back), receiver Courtney Roby (shoulder, ankle), tackle Charles Brown (knee) and safety Isa Abdul-Quddus (concussion) as out on Wednesday.

Thomas injured his knee against the 49ers and was limited in practice Tuesday and Wednesday. The Saints brought Michael Higgins up to the active roster this week. Higgins was elevated to the active roster in 2011 as well after Thomas was injured. He played in two regular season games and saw action in both playoff games, catching a 10-yard pass against the 49ers.

Including tonight, Shanle has been a healthy scratch in five of the past six games. He has been active only for the Nov. 4 game against Philadelphia in that stretch. Shanle has 27 total tackles this season, including a half-sack in the season opener against Washington.

For Atlanta, the big name on the active list is cornerback Asante Samuel, who missed practice all week with a shoulder injury. Inactive for the Falcons – quarterback Dominique Davis, receiver Tim Toon, safety Charles Mitchell, guard Phillipkeith Manley, guard Harland Gunn, defensive end Lawrence Sidbury and defensive tackle Peria Jerry.
