New Orleans officials will make their final pitch Tuesday afternoon to get the Super Bowl in New Orleans in 2018, before a final vote by the NFL owners.
The New Orleans bid will highlight, among other things, the 300th anniversary of the city of New Orleans that year, as well as the close proximity of hotels and tourist attractions available near the Mercedes-Benz Super Dome.
Doug Mouton is in Atlanta following Tuesday’s developments and will bring live reports on the decision during Eyewitness News at 5 p.m. and 6p.m. and you can get the latest information as it happens by following @wwltvsports on twitter or on wwltv.com.
A decision is expected around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
