NEW ORLEANS -- Police are investigating an apparent murder suicide that happened Sunday evening.
It happened in the 700 block of Tricou St. in the Ninth Ward, not far from the Orleans-St. Bernard Parish line, and Jackson Barracks.
According to Officer Garry Flot, a police spokesman, a 32-year-old man shot and killed his 32-year-old female acquaintance, before fatally shooting himself.
The victim's bodies were found at 7:25 p.m., Flot said.
Their identities were not released.
