NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police have arrested a man they say broke into more than 60 mini storage units in the past two months on the Northshore.

Sherod Champ was booked on 60 counts of simple burglary, two counts of vehicle burglary, one count of auto theft and two counts of attempted auto theft.

Officers serving an arrest warrant at Champ's home also found several firearms, and he was booked on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Investigators say the stolen items that have been identified and have been returned to their owners.
