NEW ORLEANS -- Police are looking for a woman who allegedly stabbed another woman in the French Quarter early Sunday morning.
Cheralynn Peterson, 25, is wanted for attempted second-degree murder, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Around 2 a.m., the stabbing took place near the intersection of North Peters and Bienville streets, according to police, when Peterson and the victim got into a physical altercation. Peterson stabbed her numerous times.
The victim was taken to the hospital with lacerations to her neck, back, shoulder and arm, and is in stable condition at the hospital, according to police.
Peterson may have attempted is trying to flee to Houston, Texas.
