NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police are investigating two fatal Sunday night shootings: one in Central City and another in the Carrollton area.
The first shooting happened just after 7 p.m. in the 2500 block of Terpsichore St., police said.
NOPD spokesman Officer Garry Flot said a 47-year-old man was found shot in the head and lying on the sidewalk. Officials pronounced him pronounced dead on the scene.
Police haven't released any information on a possible suspect or motive.
Just about three hours later, a man was found shot to death near S. Carrollton Ave. and Belfast St. A male victim was found lying in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound.
