NEW ORLEANS - Police are investigating three separate shootings overnight within minutes of each other but in different parts of the city. Two men, including a 16-year-old, and a woman were shot. One of the victims is in critical condition, police said.
The first incident occurred at 1:17 a.m., at the intersection of Ulloa and S. Solomon Street, where a man was shot to the chest, according to Officer Frank Robertson, a police spokesman. The victim was driven to the hospital and is listed in critical condition. The man's name and age were not released.
About the same time, in the 200 block of N. Robertson Street. A 16-year-old suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg, Robertson said. He was transported to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The third shooting occurred around 1:27 a.m., in the 7900 block of Old Gentilly Road. A woman in her 30s was shot in the leg. Her wounds were not life threatening and she was transported to the hospital.
