NEW ORLEANS -- The violence from Memorial Day weekend, which left 19 people shot, four fatally, continued into Tuesday as investigators were called to three separate shootings.
Just before 1:30 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in the 9th Ward. The male victim was shot in the leg near the intersection of North Galvez and Desire streets. His injuries are not considered life threatening, police said.
Earlier, police were looking for a woman they say shot and robbed a man in an unknown location Tuesday morning.
According to police, around 4:30 a.m., a 36-year-old male sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the hand. After being shot and robbed by an unknown female, he walked back to his hotel in the 800 block of Convention Center Boulevard. EMS took him to the hospital where he is listed in good condition.
NOPD is currently looking for a black female in her late 20's, with medium build, and brown complexion. Police add that she is probably driving a late model grey or brown KIA SUV.
NOPD says the shooting did not occur at the victim's hotel, and that they are still investigating to ascertain the correct location of where the shooting occurred.
Just after midnight, a 24-year-old man was shot in the hand and shoulder in the 2300 block of Iberville Street.
