NEW ORLEANS -- Two New Orleans police officers have been dismissed for what the NOPD calls violations of multiple departmental policies.

Officers August Michel and Gary Lee have both been fired.

According to NOPD, Michel is accused of going into a Bourbon Street bar with his departmental gun and getting into a fight.

Lee is accused of not showing up for his patrol shift, but allegedly working at a side business he owns.

Michel was a 15 year veteran of the NOPD. Lee was a 28 year vet.
