NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Police Department has released a picture of a person of interest in the fatal hit and run of Officer Rodney Thomas.
The man can be seen in the picture above.
This is the second person of interest being sought by the NOPD in as many days. Neither are suspects. Police say they would just like to speak with them about the case.
Officer Rodney Thomas died early Sunday morning after a Porsche Panamera hit him on the Interstate 10 high rise and then fled the scene. Police found what they believe to be the vehicle used in the hit and run earlier this week.
Police have already arrested Justin McKey, Bill Cager and Kenneth Halley in the case. McKey allegedly drove the vehicle that hit and killed Thomas.
If you can identify the person of interest and know his whereabouts, call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
