NEW ORLEANS -- The city of New Orleans is responding to questions about a city car found wrecked in the Lower Garden District.
Eyewitnesses emailed our newsroom saying that a banged-up car assigned to the New Orleans Recreation Department had been abandoned halfway on a curb for days.
We contacted the city and spokesman Ryan Berni told us that the vehicle was parked outside NORD headquarters and was struck in an apparent hit-and-run accident over the weekend.
The car was towed away by the city earlier Tuesday.
