NEW ORLEANS -- Gov. Bobby Jindal and ChenMed announced that a new health-care software development center is coming to downtown New Orleans, and with it new jobs.
The facility will develop software applications for physicians, hospitals and clinics.
Jindal said the expansion is proof that Louisiana is becoming a beacon for the software industry.
“Today Chen-Tech joins countless companies that recognize that there is no better time to expand in our state because our economy is strong and ready for investment,” Jindal said.
Chen-Tech has already begun hiring for the software development center.
They expect to reach full employment in two to three years.
