NEW ORLEANS -- The popular French Quarter spot Pat O'Brien's had a small fire early Wednesday.
According to the bar's Twitter account, the small fire started in the restaurant's duct work. There were no injuries and the establishment is open for business.
The fire broke out around 9:30 a.m., according to the NOFD. Firefighters quickly put out the fire that started in the central heating until on the third floor.
"Workers on the scene stated that a heating unit that hadn’t been operated in the past was turned on and within 30 seconds dust on the unit ignited and filled the building with smoke," said the NOFD.
The fire was contained to the heating unit and the building suffered light smoke and water damage.
