NEW ORLEANS -- Police are looking for "two persons of interest" in connection with an Algiers murder.

Police believe Delvin “Boom” Wilson, 26, and Cedric “Sam” Stokes, 28, may have additional information in  the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Tillman Hawkins.

Hawkins was gunned down on Aug. 23 in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks Drive.  Just before 4 p.m., Hawkins was found by police in front of an apartment. He had been shot multiple times to the body and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

"Video surveillance in the area captured a white Nissan fleeing moments after the shooting at a high rate of speed.  Detectives were able to get a possible partial license plate number of N33. The vehicle is believed to be a rental," NOPD said in a statement.

Anyone with information is asked to call Homicide Detective Jacob Lundy at 504-658-5300 or
Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP(7867).
