NEW ORLEANS -- Saints fans were tailgating throughout the day in anticipation of the nationally televised Monday Night Football matchup against the New York Giants.

Things cranked up early Monday afternoon, as Who Dats geared up for the Saints game in typical fashion, with plenty of food and lots of confidence.

“I think we’re gonna win with it and everything, like I said, because the Giants coming into our house and everything,” said one Saints fan. “We’re going to be alright.”

“I’m looking for maybe 31-20,” said another fan. “We’ll take it.”

As kickoff approaches, Saints and Giants fans alike braved the cold weather all around the Superdome and in Champions Square.

“My Snuggie, I wear it every time I come," said a fan wearing a Saints-themed Snuggie fleece blanket. "It works when you’re walking down Poydras. It works awesome.”

Another Saints fan said, “It feels like Christmas weather. I love it. I love being around here. I can’t wait to get inside and warm up, though.”

Fans should expect delays getting into the Superdome, as they will be facing security with metal-detecting wands at each gate when entering the 'Dome. That process caused a long wait during the last home game, with some fans missing kickoff.
