NEW ORLEANS – Slidell police are looking for a 14-year-old girl who allegedly ran away from her home with her newborn daughter and her teenage cousin.

Capt. Kevin Foltz, a Slidell Police spokesman, said 14-year-old Geornerika Washington and 16-year-old Kenisha Washington were last seen in the New Orleans area and have not been heard from since leaving a relative’s home in Avondale, Louisiana. The two are expected to have Geornerika’s 7-day-old daughter as well.

Police on Tuesday found the vehicle they were driving near the Iberville Housing Project near the Claiborne Bridge, Foltz said.

Foltz said the two cousins had left the Slidell area between 2 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. Sunday.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either girl is asked to call Detective Jeff Theriot at 985-774-9292 or their local police department.

The point of this story is two Girls are missing with a baby. The rude remarks above are not needed. I hope all three of them are found alive.
