NEW ORLEANS -- Police are investigating a Thanksgiving Day murder in the Lower 9th Ward.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, authorities are investigating a murder near the intersection of Marais and Delery streets.
Around 9 a.m., the 25-year-old man was found by police inside a silver Honda, according to police. He had been shot multiple times and pronounced dead on the scene. Police recovered a weapon at the scene.
The victim's name is being withheld until family members are notified.
