SLIDELL, La. – Police arrested two men after a large package with baby clothes, a baby bath tub and a pound of cocaine was sent to a Slidell home, according to Slidell Police spokesman Capt. Kevin Foltz.
Police in Pasadena, Calif. told Slidell Police that they had intercepted a package that was being shipped to Slidell with a large amount of cocaine, said Foltz in a statement.
“Once the package arrived at the Slidell Police Department a plan was formulated to conduct a controlled delivery of the package, to the original listed address,” said Foltz in an e-mail. “On March 17, a plain clothed detective delivered the package to the correct address and left it by the front door. The package was under constant surveillance by undercover detectives in the surrounding area.”
Two men picked up the package and placed it inside their vehicle, according to Foltz. They were stopped shortly after picking up the package.
“The package was then opened and approximately one pound of cocaine was recovered, along with several baby items, such as clothes and a baby bath tub,” said Foltz.
