NEW ORLEANS - The bad weather brought by Tropical Storm Debby led wildlife officials to extend the recreational red snapper season.
NOAH's Fisheries Service said rough seas from the storm prevented sportsmen from taking advantage of the first part of the season.
The red snapper season that was set to end on July 10 will now end on July 17.
