GARYVILLE, La.- A Reserve man died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening in St. John Parish.

According to State Police, 21-year-old Torian Williams was driving east on LA 44 around 8 p.m., when he drove off the road to right, then overcorrected and crossed the road to the left.  Williams' vehicle slammed into a tree, rolled over and ejected Williams and the passenger, Leroy Noble, 21, of Reserve.

Noble was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Williams suffered serious injuries in the crash, according to State Police.

Authorities believe speed was a factor in the crash, and alcohol results are pending for Williams at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab.  This crash remains under investigation.
