The Jefferson Parish Council passed a resolution urging the Jefferson Parish Housing Authority to fire Executive Director Barry Bordelon.
Bordelon was cited in a federal audit, alleging there were hundreds of thousands dollars in misspent money and unsupported costs at the authority.
Bordelon was invited by council to appear at the meeting, but he didn't show..
The council agreed to ask for Bordelon's resignation in executive session, though only the housing authority can take that action.
