List of schools closed because of boil advisory

NEW ORLEANS -- Because of a boil water advisory in Orleans Parish, the following schools will be closed Tuesday:

  • Edgar P. Harney Spirit of Excellence Academy. School is intended to be open Wednesday
  • James M. Singleton Charter School
  • Capital One-New Beginnings Charter School Network (Pierre Capdau, Medard Nelson, Gentilly Terrace, Lake Area New Tech)
  • Intercultural Charter School
  • Andrew Wilson Charter School and McMillan Head Start Center (staff should report at 9 a.m. for a regular work day)
  • Audubon Charter School
  • Benjamin Franklin High School (staff should report at 7:45 a.m. for a regular work day)
  • Einstein Charter School
  • Hynes Charter School (staff should report at 7:45 for a regular work day)
  • International School of Louisiana (Camp Street Uptown Campus ONLY -staff should report at 7:45 a.m. for a regular work day)
  • Lusher Charter School  (JCC Campus closed-all other campuses on Fall Break)
  • Mahalia Jackson Elementary School
  • McMain High School
  • Bethune Elementary School
  • McDonogh 35 High School
  • Light City Christian Academy
  • Lycee Francais de la Nouvelle-Orleans
  • Cub Corner preschool
