BELLE CHASSE, La. - The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office said that a suspect or suspects used a BB-type gun to shatter the windows on six vehicles and to damage two other cars.
The incidents occurred either late Sunday, Nov. 10 or early Monday, Nov. 11 in three neighborhoods.
According to a sheriff's office spokesman, police believe a BB or pellet gun was used to damage the vehicles.
The damaged cars were located in the 500 block of E. Second Street and the 100, 300 and 500 blocks of E. Third Street, the 100 block of C Street and the 100 block of W. X Street.
No items were taken from any of the vehicles.
Evidence was recovered from one of the scenes and submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Laboratory for analysis.
Initial estimates of damage are believed to be nearly $4,000.
Victims who may not have reported damage to their vehicles are urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 504-564-2525 to report the crimes.
