HOSUTON, Tx. - A former Southern University athletic director has been acquitted on prostitution charges.

It took a Texas jury a half hour of deliberation to acquit Greg LaFleur Wednesday.

LaFleur was arrested in Houston last April, after authorities said he solicited sex from an undercover officer posing as a prostitute.

Southern University fired him a few days later.

He had been with the school for six years.

LaFleur is now suing the university over breach of contract.
