HOUSTON, TX -- Southern University Athletic Director Greg LaFleur has been arrested in Houston and is facing charges for solicitation of a prostitute.
LaFleur, 52, was arrested on Main Street in Houston at 8:30 p.m., according to WAFB. His bond was set at $500.
The police report says LaFleur picked up a female prostitute for sex, but the woman was actually an undercover police officer.
LaFleur, a former LSU and NFL football player, has served as the athletic director since taking over for Floyd Kerr in 2005. He was arrested in January 2006 on domestic violence charges.
Southern University released the following statement:
"This is a matter that we will investigate. When our investigation is completed the University will determine what action or actions are necessary. Until our inquiry is finished we will have no further comment."
