BATON ROUGE, La. -- State health officials say four men died of swine flu-related illnesses last week, bringing the H1N1 death toll in Louisiana to 39.

The state Department of Health and Hospitals said thousands of doses of H1N1 vaccine have flowed into the state since October and more than 126,000 people have been vaccinated.

The Advocate of Baton Rouge reports two of the men were from the region that covers the New Orleans area; one man was from the Lafayette area; and one man was from the region which covers the Florida parishes.
