AMITE- Emergency officials in Tangipahoa Parish sent a warning about high water to residents Wednesday.

The parish listed almost 30 roads covered in water or impassable due to the overnight and morning rains. Some people along those roads tried to drop the water level in ditches on their own to get it off the roads. Many properties were inundated with water as well, but there were no reports of any homes flooded.

The parish offered sandbags at road and bridge facilities in Hammond and Roseland until the end of business.
