SLIDELL, La. – Police are trying to find the thief or thieves that broken into and emptied an ATM on Gause Boulevard Halloween night, according to a press release from Slidell Police spokesman Captain Kevin Foltz.

The suspect or suspects disabled the security camera that faces the ATM around 11:30 p.m. at the ASI Credit Union at 1332 Gause Boulevard, Foltz said.  “Prior to that time the video does not show any activity around the ATM, other than a customer using the machine minutes before the camera was disabled.”

After disabling the video camera, police believe that the suspect or suspects had either a key or picked the exterior lock to the ATM, and then drilled out the combination locks to the money trays.

Anyone with information is asked to call Slidell Police at 985-646-6181 or CrimeStoppers at 1-877-903-7867.
