NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Hogs for the Cause, the two-day fundraising event featuring recognized musical talent alongside amateur and professional BBQ competitors, has announced its music lineup for its March 28 - 29, 2014 dates.
This year WWL-TV is excited to announce it is teaming up with Hogs for the Cause to help raise money for children with pediatric brain cancer.
Hogs for the Cause will feature almost one-hundred teams competing in the BBQ cook-off and two stages within the City Park Festival Grounds. Gates open Friday at 4 pm and on Saturday at 10:30 am, closing both evenings at 10 pm.
Pre-sale tickets will go on sale on the Hogs for the Cause website beginning December 10 with a special 2-day pass that will be available for $20 (increasing to $25 on January 10th, 2014). Other tickets and packages available on the website include the Friday Night Gala Dinner at $150 and Boss Hog at $150.
The Friday evening and Saturday music lineup will include top billed bands, as well as other regional favorites. “The music festival aspect of this event is huge for us,” states Becker Hall, Co-Founder with Rene Louapre. “By being able to secure nationally recognized bands, Hogs for the Cause has been able to grow to a nationally recognized event, bringing in people from all over the country.”

Hogs for the Cause is also proud of the partnership forged with Children’s Hospital, which enables continued support to pediatric brain cancer patients and their families who receive treatment at Children’s Hospital.
The purpose of Hogs for the Cause is to provide aid and relief of those variable expenses and economic burdens which families face while their child is being treated for pediatric brain cancer. Currently, Hogs For The Cause operates as the premier funding source for pediatric brain cancer outreach services in the United States and has given grants to over 100 families in need.
